Iridology
Iridology is the study and analysis of the iris. Like a miniature recording screen, the iris can guage the status of human health. The iris is connected to many nerves that come from various parts of the body and subsequently displays their nerve activity, revealing the health of the related body part. Disturbances related to the structure,
pathology, psychological and emotional nature of the person, leave their impression upon the iris. Each of us will have a dominant Constitution Type which is like a “blueprint” of who we are. This is determined by the colour and structure of our iris and does not change during our lifetime. Our constitution may indicate whether we are the emotional type who is prone to stress, if we have a tendency towards allergies, are prone to poor digestion, liver difficulties etc.
During an iridology consulation, Vivienne will describe your constitution type, examine for potential areas of weakness, toxicity or inflammation and observe for digestive markers. Dietary and nutritional advice may be guided by iris findings.
Iridology is provided as part of the standard consultation. It is used to “back up” the diagnosis.
Cellular Health Analysis
Bioimpedance Analysis is a computerised test which determines the body’s:
- actual fat and muscle mass
- desired fat, muscle and weight according to frame
- size
- intracellular and extracellular fluid
- nutritional health at the cellular level
- actual age
- hydration status
- inflammation and other health markers
The practitioner interprets this vital information to determine if there is:
- poor nutrition
- toxicity
- inflammation
- low energy levels
- premature ageing
- muscle wasting
Who should have a Bioimpedance Analysis?
Bioimpedance is great for anyone:

A quick tasting method used to determine if there is a problem with zinc levels.
Cholesterol test
This is a finger prick test which gives immediate results. Tests are normally done early in the morning as an accurate measure will require a 12 hour fast (i.e. nothing by mouth except water).

HDL (good) cholesterol LDL (bad) cholesterol Triglycerides Total Cholesterol
Blood Sugar Levels
Using the finger prick method we perform a gluco-meter test which gives us your blood sugar level. An abnormal blood sugar level is an indication of insulin resistance or diabetes.
Candia 5 Test
A quick test to indicate the presence of candidiasis, a condition where there is a yeast overgrowth. This systemic condition becomes widespread throughout the body and subsequently can cause diverse symptoms.
IgA Antibodies (Celiac test)
This is a reliable and rapid test for celiac disease whereby the person is experiencing an intolerance to gluten (usually from wheat products).
Helicobacter pylori
The presence of Helicobacter pylori is connected with peptic ulcer disease, inflammation of the gastric or duodenal mucosa or other gastrointestinal disorders. This finger prick test is rapid, simple and reliable in its detection of Helicobacter pylori antibodies.
Free Radical Urine Test
This test uses a sample of urine to determine the level of free radical stress within the body. The darker the colour the more severe is the free radical activity and oxidation. An abnormal results indicates a need for anti-oxidant support (e.g. Vit C, E, selenium)
Urinary Indicans (Gut Toxicity Test)
A urinary indicans test is an accurate and simple screening tool to ascertain if there is abnormal bacteria in the gut. The test is helpful if there are symptoms of gut disturbances such as belching, burping, irregular bowel motions, stomach pain or excessive flatulence. It is also advisable to have this test done prior to a detoxification program.
Blood Typing
This finger prick test provides us with your blood group within minutes. Knowing your blood group can be useful for dietary purposes but also as we know that some groups are more prone to certain health conditions.
